At Altimate, we are strong believers of nature being the best mentor. It has lessons to offer that you don’t find in books. We all know why we go outdoors and what is it that we pursue? Nothing but cold mornings, the aroma of dew filled air, witnessing our dog putting our countless hours of training to practice, the adrenaline of a bird’s flush and countless other moments each day out.

AND WE HAVE A DREAM

A dream where we witness our natural habitats to be treated as learning grounds more than hunting grounds. A dream where our children connect with nature the way we connected with it. A dream where our children scale outdoors and come back with their own stories.  Knowledge Secured and transcended down to generations.

Imagine one small follow up that will make our outdoors a better place for our generations. And that is, ensure not to trash empty shot shells in the field and/or skeet range. Just collect it for us. We will upcycle them as much creatively as possible. This way, you shall be directly contributing in reducing carbon footprint on the field. Likewise, revenue generated from up-cycled products can go back to habitat and game bird conservation.

Carbon Footprint Really?

Yes, have you ever thought of what happened to the empty shot shells that you’ve ejected in the field? They are left there for ages in the habitat and no part of it whether plastic, brass case or primer ever decomposes. At skeet ranges, empty shot shells are normally burnt and that too without using waste burners.

Science says, 1g of plastic causes about 6g of CO2 emissions while being manufactured. So if you collect back one used shot shell that has 4g of plastic in it, you reduce about 24g of carbon footprint on the habitat plus another 24g of carbon footprint reduced from being unethically burnt away. Do your math on the number of shot shell you spend in your day out.
